Contemporary And Classic Electric Fireplace Heater Inserts
With the heat of summer finally beginning to abate in many areas of the country, people are starting to look toward the cooler weather of fall, and what that means for getting their homes prepared. If you decided last winter that you wouldn't spend another winter of paying for expensive utility bills, or shivering in the cold, then you probably decided on an electric fireplace heater insert. If so, then now is the ideal time to buy a one, as they are not yet in high demand as they will be later in the year.
So what type of electrical fireplace heater insert would you like? Do you want one that is portable, or one that will become a permanent part of the room it will go in? Do you want one that is traditional in design, or something a little more contemporary? To help you make your decision, let's take a look at two different options, a portable electric fireplace heater that is traditional in design, and a permanent electric fireplace heater that is contemporary in design. While these certainly aren't the only two available options, they will be able to give you a good idea of what is out there.
The Home Theater Electric Fireplace by Classic Flame combines a home entertainment center with an electric fireplace heater insert. Available in a few different finishes, including oak and cherry, this piece of furniture has room for a flat screen TV on top, a DVD player and other electronic equipment on a shelf underneath, and shelves along the side of the fireplace inserts for holding DVDs and CDs. Costing an average of $800.00, and available from online retailers such as Amazon.com, this contemporary electric fireplace heater would be ideal for family rooms and bedrooms.

The Dimplex CFP3652C 20" Cherry Electric Fireplace heater insert looks more like a traditional fireplace, combining the ease of electric heat with the convenience of portability. With an upper mantel that can be used for displaying photographs and other items, this piece features insert glass that stays cool to the touch, realistic looking flaming effect, operates with or without heat, and includes a remote control for ease of use. Costing an average of $365.00, it is cheaper than the entertainment center fireplace, but of course doesn't have as much storage space as the piece discussed above. These two models are good examples of the type of electric fireplace heater inserts that are available for purchase. If there is only one area of your home that seems to be too cold in the winter months, a permanent piece might work well for that room. However, if there are a few different rooms in your home that could benefit from additional heat in the winter, a portable model might be a better choice.
